Has anyone read Mick LaSalle's book "Complicated Women"? / she's on the cover.

Interesting how women dominated the movies back in the 30s & 40s.

I love Norma Shearer and will look for this one on the TCM app.

I personally think her best role was "The Divorcee" ~ then again, I love most anything pre-code.

Norma... Relationship with her children was tragic. Today while researching Jean H brought me to William Powel. Ooh sad indeed!! His Son. Also apparently! William and Jean were lovers. Encourage you to look up her resting place, Beautiful!! William designed even had extra space speculation was for him. He's buried along side his last Wife and Son. Fascinating old Hollywood. Never gets old.
