TCM Monday - Withnail & I - For Anglophiles

On Monday night TCM is showing Withnail and I at 9:15 pm PST (so 6:15 pm EST).

This is a strange, quirky very black comedy that’s become a cult film in the UK. It stars Richard E Grant (long a favorite of mine) and Paul McGann (Dr Who: The Movie), a long-time lust object of mine, when both were in their prime.  Richard Griffiths (Vernon Dursley in Harry Potter films) has an...interesting role.

Hey, thanks for the heads-up @Moonchilde!  Had not heard of it, sounds like I would like.

It’s a very strange film, @Oznell. The characters aren’t exactly all likeable, esp Richard Grant’s character. But the acting is brilliant. It’s a slice of life type thing. And I could stare at a young Paul McGann for hours ;-)
