Re: Survivor is back tonight!

Yes, good episode, but I couldn't help but notice at Tribal Council how clean everyone was.  For having wallowed in the mud in the challenge, even with a dip in the ocean, they were too clean.  They all looked freshly showered (very clean hair - usually by now it is pretty gross) and their clothes looked like they had been machine laundered.

Really good blindside though.  I thought Danny was going to go back on his word and not play the idol for Frannie.  Good thing he didn't because she was going to be gone.  Matt would have been happy though.

Re: Survivor is back tonight!

Very well played last night. Take out the biggest, strongest guy who you can't beat and weaken the tribe that thinks they've got the game won. Kudos to Danny for using the idol on Franny. Danny has made himself a big target by that move, but it worked.

Love a well executed blindside...makes the game fun.

Re: Survivor is back tonight!

I never really understand the tribal loyalty in Survivor. Tribes don't win. Individuals win. They'd been together fifteen days and swore undying loyalty to their tribemates they'd never seen before. If there's someone on your tribe that you can't beat, flush them. And the merge comes around day ten to twelve these days, so it's not like you've spent months together. All the tribe loyalty stuff is nuts to me. Find a group of people you think you could beat in the end, ally with them, and get rid of anyone you think you can't beat.

Re: Survivor is back tonight!

Well, my favorite player got voted off.  I really think she could have won if she made the final 3.  One interesting thing that was said was "The era of Alliances is over".  It was one of the women that said that, but I don't think she understands what an alliance is, since she is part of one.  We've seen 'voting blocks' and that is rarely successful in the long run.

It has actualliy been a good season, even if my pick got voted out.

My favorite too.  At least the blow of being voted out will be well comforted.

Those women who were chosen to share in the advantage, to then repay Frannie's kindness by voting to evict her was so lacking in charactor. To say it's just a game is no excuse for what they did.

Re: Survivor is back tonight!

They are playing to "outwit, outplay, outlast" for a million dollars and do what you need to further yourself in the game.

As much as I liked Frannie, she was the right choice to go.  Would anyone want to sit by her in the Final 3??  She was a huge threat in so many ways.

The object is to take out the most dangerous player to your game and that was done.

They could have waited for the next opportunity. She wouldn't have won every time.

She was my favorite too. Was she a threat? Somewhat, but what about Danny? He seems like a bigger threat to me than anyone and he's skating by.
