I'm alive and well. Just in the final countdown to move into my new apartment on June first. I haven't been commenting as much on Survivor  as the hotel I'd been staying at didn't get CBS and I lost interest as my favorites got voted off.

I just watched the finale last night & I agree - what did Yam Yam do that was so special? It probably comes down to how the show was edited. They seemed to favor Carson all along and I do wish he had won (or Caroline). But I saw today that artist Sia awarded Caroline $100,000 and so that's good. I wondered if Sia was still doing that each season because I haven't heard about it lately. She used to pop up on the finale show and do the awarding there, until Survivor started hosting the finale on-location at Tribal Council.

I didn't know about Sia giving that reward out, however, this is the first time I watched in some time.

I wanted Caroline to win the whole thing and saw no reason for Yam Yam to even last as long as he did.

Oh well, them's the breaks.

@gardenman , glad you are getting into your apartment! Does this mean your kitties get to come home?

I would have been happy with either Carolyn or Carson winning. I was just glad Heidi didn't win.

I hope so. The apartment move got delayed to the sixth as one of their maintenance guys who refurbishes the apartment had a death in his family. Once I get in the apartment I'll be reaching out to the shelter about my cats. Hopefully both are still available and I will gladly reclaim them. If both have been adopted by others, I'll likely adopt an older cat.

@gardenman- Glad to hear that you are doing okay.  Sorry your move got delayed.  Moving is such a pain. Hopefully next week you can finally move, get settled and get your kitties back.
