They're also featuring Marilyn Monroe. Jean Arthur is tomorrow. I'm not really a fan of hers, but I loved her in "Shane", which, dang it!, is not in the lineup. Also, Toshiro Mifune, Randolph Scott, Gilbert Roland and a few other new ones. "Summer Under the Stars" and "31 Days of Oscar" are TCM's best programming., besides Noir Alley, which is great all year long!

I love any movie with Jean Artthur! "The More The Merrier" is one of my absolute favorites with Joel McRae and Academy Award winner Charles Coburn! Of course any movie she did with Cary Grant is superb....The Talk of The Town....with Cary Grant and Ronald Colman...Edgar Buchanan is a hoot in this one as well! Enjoy!
Who can forget "You Can't Take It With You"....a Frank Capra classic.....with Lionel Barrymore, Jean Arthur, James Stewart, and Edward Arnold, Spring Byington, Ann Miller, well, the list just goes on!
I have my dvr recorder locked and loaded!

Unbelievable that The More the Merrier was Jean's only nomination.

I so agree! Jean Arthur could do comedy as well as drama....."Only Angels Have Wings" with Cary Grant, was such a departure, as well as "The Talk of The Town", "Mr. Smith Goes To Washington", and "Mr. Deeds Goes To Town". She held her own with anybody in Hollywood.

For her fans, I recommend this biography of Jean:
