From Wiki:
Girardi graduated from Loyola High School (Los Angeles) in 1957.[2] He received his undergraduate degree from Loyola Marymount University in 1961, his J.D. degree from Loyola Law School in 1964, and an LL.M. from New York University in 1965.[1] In 1970, Girardi became the first attorney in the state of California to win a $1 million-plus award for a medical malpractice case.[1] Girardi has handled major cases against the former Lockheed Corp (now the Lockheed Martin Corp.), Pacific Gas & Electric Co, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority, and Hollywood's seven major movie studios.[1]
In one of his better known cases against Pacific Gas & Electric, the utility company agreed to pay $460 million to 650 residents of the desert community of Hinkley, California.[3] The residents blamed incidents of cancer and other diseases on contaminated water leaked from a gas pumping station.[1] This case was the inspiration for the film Erin Brockovich (2000) starring Julia Roberts. “That particular case revolutionized people’s thinking about all the toxic things they are exposed to,” he told Attorney at Law magazine.[4] Girardi also served as an adviser on the film. In 2003, he received the honor of being inducted into the Trial Lawyer Hall of Fame by the California State Bar.[1] According to his website, he is a Member of the Board of Directors and former President of the prestigious International Academy of Trial Lawyers, an invitation-only worldwide organization, limited to 500 trial lawyers.[1] Girardi is also the first trial lawyer to be appointed to the California Judicial Council, the policymaking body of the state courts.[1]
In another high-profile matter, Girardi was among a group of lawyers who attempted to enforce in U.S. courts a $489 million default judgment entered by a court in Nicaragua, allegedly against Dole Food and Shell Chemicals based on the effects of the pesticide, DBCP, upon exposed workers. The U.S. courts found that Girardi and others had submitted a translation of the pertinent Nicaraguan documents that was flawed in crucial respects. Girardi and others were formally reprimanded and their law firm was fined for violation of their duty of candor to the courts.[5]

From TMZ:
Erika Jayne and Tom Girardi funded a lavish lifestyle with money intended for plane crash victims and now they're hiding assets with a sham divorce ... according to a new lawsuit.
The "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" star and her lawyer hubby are being dragged into court by the law firm Edelson, which is suing him for allegedly embezzling money from a settlement intended to compensate the families of victims of the crash of Lion Air Flight 610.
According to the lawsuit, obtained by TMZ, Edelson -- which also represented the plaintiffs in the Lion Air litigation -- claims Tom used the settlement money to fund his "outrageous lifestyle" with Erika.
Edelson claims Girardi also needed the money to help keep his own law firm afloat, claiming it was is in financial peril from various loans.
And, then there’s this ... Edelson also claims Erika filed to divorce Tom in order to help him hide assets, claiming it believes the November divorce is nothing more than a sham.
We reached out to Erika ... so far, no word back.

@KingstonsMom Wonder if any of this will be discussed on the New Season of RHOBH-I doubt it. Erika never did talk much about her life on the show!

I doubt it too, her lawyer hubby will make sure she keeps her mouth shut about all of this and wisely so.
Also, they still have fodder for the upcoming season of RHOB that they're filming now with this (also from TMZ):
The COVID concerns pausing production on "Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" run way deeper than an infected crew member ... we've learned several cast members also have the virus.
Sources with direct knowledge tell TMZ ... Kyle Richards, Kathy Hilton and Dorit Kemsley have also tested positive for COVID-19. We're told they are all recovering at home and none of the women had serious symptoms.
The series started filming its new season toward the end of October, and our sources say there were safety protocols in place including testing and temperature checks ... but that couldn't stop a COVID outbreak from impacting production.
As you know ... 'RHOBH' shut down production last week after a crew member tested positive for the virus. Turns out even if the crew member was COVID-free, production would have shut down because nearly half the stars contracted the virus.

everything about her is fake.. fake hair... plastic surgery... the only thing that is real is her trashy dancing and so called music. She was like a strip teaser dancer when he met her... trash trash trash

Hmmm. I find it interesting that, not only did they accuse him of embezzlement, but they also state what he was alledgely doing with the money. If he was stealing, why does it matter what/who he spent it on?
12-03-2020 08:12 PM
Not quite, but maybe close....let's jusr say her motive was pretty obvious.
"So how did Erika Jayne meet her husband Tom Girardi?
Erika met Tom in the late ‘90s while waitressing at the famed Los Angeles restaurant Chasen’s. They tied the knot in January 1999.
So here's how it went down: Erika and Tom met when he was a customer at a Los Angeles restaurant where Erika worked as a cocktail waitress. She let him know that she was single, slipped him her number, and the rest was history."

@KingstonsMom ahhh...thanks for the correction. I confused her with how Anna Nicole Smith got her old rich man....not too different...cocktail waitress or sleazy dancer...both of them had the same intention.

Ahhh yes, Anna Nicole, cut from the same cloth as Erika Jayne.
