This movie is out Friday Sept 22nd. It's the story of Boston Marathon bombing survivor Jeff Bauman. He became the most well known survivor because of a famous photo taken of him. Carlos, the man in the straw cowboy hat, was trying to help him and get him to an ambulance. He was basically holding Jeff by an internal part of his leg to try to stop the bleeding.

Is anyone going to see it? Jake Gyllenhaal plays Jeff, and at least part of it was filmed in Massachusetts.

Tatiana Maslany plays Jeff's girlfriend at the time, Erin. He was there that day to watch her run the marathon.

They got married and had a daughter. Unfortunately it didn't have the fairy tale ending, they divorced earlier this year.

I was lucky to be able to see this movie today. I thought it was so well done. Jake's performance just blew me away, Oscar nomination worthy in my opinion.

It's based on the book, which is not a sugar coated version of Jeff's life or his journey after his injuries.
