We watch Grit TV  all the time. Its just western shows. With all the ****** in tv it's nice to have something to watch that to us seems calming.

Westerns all the time too on Starz Encore Western Channel. Part of our basic cable package with Comcast.

I think Steve McQueen was a smoldering, charismatic talent-- always fascinating to watch onscreen!  

 

My problem is, he tended to make films I'm not that drawn to, although the ones @Shelbelle mentions would probably be my favorites too.  It's a little the same as with John Wayne for me--  I love his talent, his unforgettable mannerisms and his whole persona, but he didn't make that many movies that are up my alley.  "The Shootist" and a few others being my biggest likes....

 

But films in general would be unthinkable without the likes of Wayne and McQueen...
