@OznellI love him too.  I've seen Bullitt a million times.  The King of Cool.  Ali MacGraw had good taste.

William Friedkin is the perfect guest commentator for "The Essentials".  A very bright director, life-long lover of films, and so knowledgeable.  Yay!  I hope they keep hiim for a long time.

 

It's nice to have such a vibrant "person of age" (ha!) too.  At 82, he is sharp and incisive and a joy to listen to.  He knew and adored Fred Astaire!  That should be an asset when they discuss next week's "Essentials",  "The Band Wagon".   That movie has one of the most dreamy, romantic dance sequences ever, "Dancing in the Dark", with Fred and Cyd Charisse...
