Am I the only one sick of watching all the sports betting commercials on TV?

First of all, it caters to an audience who is wealthy enough to play with their money.   And then, it entices others who can't afford it to gamble.  Even the sporting events lately are sponsored by an online betting company.  And all the celebrities on the commercials like Jamie Foxx, are super rich and can gamble with their money unlike most average people.

I notice it too when all the sports commentators talk about fantasy football and winning and losing on games.   I know everything can be betted on in Vegas, etc.  But in the "old" days I never heard about it.  If you were a gambler, you moved in those circles.   Now sports is more about making money off of it personally and the athletes become like gladiators.

I just hope people with gambling issues don't get sucked into it watching all the advertisements.

@Black Cat Back : Kinda naive aren't you. It caters to those addicted to gambling. And they(the commercials) are so irritating. Hate them!!

The NFL loves it too. Now people are dialed into games that are not that interesting because they have money on them. In many cases fans can bet from their phones. It's a huge money making business, so it is here to stay. I'm sick of the ads too, but they're not going anywhere.

I've never seen those commercials in Texas.  Maybe they're not allowed here.

@Black Cat Back  Those commercials are for people addicted to gambling w/all sorts of incomes not necessarily wealthy ones.  I know they have a disclaimer for people w/gambling issues but I don't think they are the ones who read the disclaimer.

Illegal in my state so we don't get such commercials, just millions of political ads.

I know one thing, I'm sick of Kevin Hart in those commercials and any and all other ads he's in. 😩
