Re: SpectrumCharter pulled all Disney owned channels

If you have Spectrum, call them and ask for a credit on your next month bill for those missing channels.  Don't do chat, you have to call them.  I was reading about people getting credits, so I tried today and after about a 10 minute hold, I talked nicely to the representative and received a $15 credit on my next bill.  I debated doing it, but decided what the heck,, I'm missing the US Open.

Is Spectrum going to give every one a credit on their monthly bill for the loss of all these channels?

I wish! My Spectrum cable and internet are included in my monthly condo association fees. I only pay $12 out of pocket for a 2nd HD cable box at my primary residence. If anyone is getting a credit, it's the association, not me.

Regional restrictions, blackouts and Live TV terms apply. Access content from each service separately. Location data required to watch certain content. Unlimited DVR recording is not available for on-demand shows. Offer valid for eligible subscribers only.

@ elated wrote: You only get 15 channels on Spectrum. I know they have 150 channels select but haven't heard of 15. Please let me know how you got this program. Very interesting.

You can choose 15 of the major channels that you watch on a regular basis and your bill is based on those channels but you still get your local channels (fox, abc,nbc etc)  I don't watch the food network, ESPN and a few others I can't recall at this moment so I dropped those. I do watch TBS, Bravo, TLC,BET and several others which make up my 15 channels. Spectrum will explain of course. Hope that helps

@simplyfriends I have DirecTV and we haven't had CBS and some other channels all summer.  Still don't.  Funny, I still have CBSSN which is a sports channel.  I would've expected that to be tied to CBS. Their negotiations are with Nexstar.

@Icegoddess , that's odd.  We have Directv and haven't had any issues whatsoever with CBS or any other channel.  I wonder if it's a local affiliate.  I live in NYC.

We also have all of our DTV channels, however I was on DTV Facebook the other day for another complaint I had and many people were posting about the negotiations with Nexstar and how they don't have certain channels.

We also have Direct TV and lost CBS and NBC a few weeks ago.  No prior warning, they just weren't there anymore.

We are now watching CBS/NBC programs through U-Tube TV via Playstation 4, using the game controller as a remote.  Weird!

Direct TV offered us a one-time $10 credit on our bill for our "inconvenience".  Oh brother!

We had considered getting Spectrum, but now that they cut ABC, etc., there's no reason to do that.

Not sure how we'll proceed going forward.
