Robin is his only real and legal wife.  The other ones are spiritual wives, in which there is really no such thing.

When all the kids are grown, the other wives will move on. Christine has already and so has Meri.

Cody and family has a lot of money.  The sisters will hang around spiritually, but not physically so they will not lose their share.

I have been thinking the same thing all along. Just because he is the only one going from house to house doesn't mean he isn't going to carry something to the each household. Idiot for sure!!!!

Meri was smart to stay married long enough to be able to get Social Security Spousal benefits or Survivor benefits when the time comes.  Christine and Janelle will never be able to.  That's if he even paid in enough quarters because who knows if he's ever had a job.

He was happy when they all were younger and worshiped at his feet.  His word was law but as they matured, became self sufficient he lost control. 

Robin is the only one that is not self sufficient and is stuck by her own hand.  Divorcing Mari and making Robin his legal wife and adopting her kids gave Robin what she wanted since day one.  

They, as a family are not well off at all because he spent money like crazy throughout the show, lost money on the Vegas homes, were in arrears on taxes.  He has an ego larger than life, lost whatever looks he had as well as respect.  Nice to see the kids doing OK for the most part and I wish them well.  Good luck to the ladies as they begin to live their own lives without him.

@colliemom4   I don't watch the show now, but have watched some episodes in the past and follow the threads on this forum, so I feel like I know what's going on.  It also comes up on my Facebook newsfeed, and I read about it there.

I've been curious about the Bed & Breakfast.  I don't like to say negative things, but I'm surprised that it isn't more attractive than it is.  It is very dated--looks like it was done in the '70's.  I was surprised that an interior decorator helped her with the Christmas decorations.

Robyn got what she wanted.  She became the legal wife and moved the family to Arizona where her oldest son is attending college.  The woman is a master manipulator.  I do not feel sorry for her at all.

Interesting thread, as years ago, probably like 6 or 7, I used to tune in occasionally, then once binged some seasons On Demand, when there was absolutely nothing to watch one time. So I know some of the history. 

I'm actually surprised it's still on, as I thought it had run it's course and seemed like it was dying in popularity years ago. It's been on long! Also surprised, from the commentary, some things are still going on from when I last watched which was, like I said, at least 6 years ago. Meri was on the verge of going her own way then, was "idealistic about the past", as someone described her still, of when she was the first wife and they were actually romantic. They looked like they were "trying" but it was obvious it was futile, and they weren't really "in love" anymore then.

I always remembered Robyn as the "cute new young wife" and clearly the one he had the most hots for and was probably the only one he was sleeping with then...sounds like that's still the same.

Anyway...this was always like a trainwreck I couldn't even understand why I was still watching other than something about being a fly on their crazy wall was "interesting." And of course, like all "reality" tv., some of it is likely scripted & fake...but that didn't seem to matter to me.

Now y'all have me a tad curious to tune into the train wreck again. Though I know there are better ways to waste precious hours of my life I'll never get back again!

He was always gross to me. Unkept he's probably worse now. Oy...Pass the popcorn. 🍿🤣
