The Conjuring...surprisingly scary in the "old" style -- no gore and chainsaws. Very atmospheric spooky. If you like scary movies ths is a good one.

Based on a real house in New England.

My favorite is the old, (1963) black and white original, The Haunting with Julie Harris.

This movie scared the bejeepers out of me when I was young.  Heck, it still does!  I do not want to say much so as not to spoil it for anyone that has not seen it.

@4kitties

I love that one too!!!  Who was holding her hand?

@Jackhound Mom

That is the scene that still scares me.........  We never know who or what is was.

And the not knowing or seeing whatever it was just makes it even scarier to me.......

😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲😲

I need to get out my DVD of it and watch it........🤣🤣🤣🤣

The Birds! Or Jaws!

Anything that potentially borders on 'real life' is extra scary in my opinion.

@yellowrose ...I still remember seeing Carrie in the theater when I was in high school and that hand coming up from the grave! Funny how some things stick with you.
