Me too.   After the first episode I told my friend who also watches that they need new material.  SOS.   This is about the fourth time that they have gotten together and then nothing happened.  MOVE ON!!!

The way I see it, the romance (if you want to call it that.....forbidden love, etc) between a beautiful young single woman and the attractive married President of the US) is one of the main reasons people tune in to watch the show.

I doubt that they are ever going to totally give up this running theme.  Why should they?  It works!

Oh!  Sure, every now and then they break up and swear off of each other and then poof, they're back again.

I know for some (myself included) it seems romantic and all that goes with it....forbidden love, but if you think about it the 'togetherness' between these two people has caused many people to die, wish they were dead, get emotionally destroyed and on and on.

Fitz and Olivia cannot be together permanently until this series comes to an end, and I think they will ride off into the sunset together at that time.  In the meantime, they must stay apart to drive the drama and story line.

I have never bought into the relationship between OP and podus.  I love both as actors but I just don't see the s. chemistry. 

I think the chemistry is there between Olivia and Jake!

I think Fitz is obsessed with Olivia and as another poster stated, I think Jake truly loves her, protects her and is always there for her even tho he knows she loves POTUS.  My ending for this show....Melli  is sworn in as POTUS and Jake and Olivia go to their island where she was the happiest. Fitz is alone.   I think there are fine actors in this series.  I love Papa Pope, Cyrus Bean, Huck, David ...the actresses who play Abby and Quinn.......really love that Jake!

Not any less fake than HTGAWM .....  and certainly not documentaries .....   Scandal is supposed to be entertaining.   

I have a feeling that one thing this show got right is how underhanded and ambitious politicians can be.

Take for instance the former VP Sally Langston character ....  Kate Burton, daughter of the late actor Richard Burton ......   she is so holier than thou, and we all KNOW that she murdered her own gay husband.     Nevertheless, she is on some crazy show, pointing fingers and acting soooo self righteous.
