Salute to Little Richard on PBS Tonight

9:00 Eastern

I'm sure this will be good, but it won't be the same without him.

I know - I saw this in the TV section of today's paper and immediately set my DVR to record it.  He was amazing.

Thanks for the alert, @PickyPicky3 .  That should be great!

Could I also suggest, as a possible appetizer, one of my favorite duets Little Richard did, when guesting on the Tom Jones show,  "This is Tom Jones".

Can't link to it, since videos sometimes get poofed.  But if anyone wants to whet their appetite for the PBS tribute show, you can google:

Tom Jones and Little Richard Good Golly Miss Molly youtube

They are super together.  There's also another, longer video that shows them doing an entire rock medley, not just the "Good Golly..." clip, and they are magic.

Something didn't feel right about this program. I need to think about it.

Re: Salute to Little Richard on PBS Tonight

I watched it and gain knowledge about him I didn't know. He was from my era and I wasn't into him, but he really did start Rock and Roll, and those after him, learned it from him.  He might have had a bizarre life style, but he worked hard and tried many times to undo some of it.

It really held my interest, and didn't fall asleep as I normally do watching a 2 hour program.
