SURVIVOR--week of 2/28/2024--possible spoilers

I don't know if you all want me to do a weekly thread or not--but I started one--just let me know your preference.

We have 3 brand new tribes and several not smart people on each of them.  There are definitely some big personalities here though and let's just talk about Mr. Quitter.  Where in anyone's world does SEVERAL mean SEVEN?  And NO--SEVEN is NOT part of that word.  I was rooting for the Orange team (I don't know their names yet).  The one with the singing camp counselor.  Who knew they would be a power house?  I wouldn't have guessed that at all.

And I wasn't surprised at who got voted off the island.  No one likes a quitter. Especially an hour into the game.  And I wonder if production got a little pisst when their hourglass was broken.

Yes, @DrKelli,  please do continue with the weekly threads or at least one season 46 thread.

I think this season, more than most, they need a psychologist or psychiatrist on each team.

What is good for the goose today will also be good for the gander tomorrow.

My hubby was an avid Survivor watcher since the beginning.  He lost interest in it last season because of a few quitters.  He doesn't even want to watch this season's.  He misses the old Survivor days.

Well as much as I complain I have made peace that the old Survivor is not coming back. This is a watered down version and we are never getting out of Fiji. The same background with the same challenge of an obstacle course topped off with a puzzle. The cast now in their quest for inclusion now excludes others. I still watch it because I am a people watcher. Jelensky is a character that doesn't come along often in his delusions of grandeur but when he said after the votes he was blindsided. Blindsided after the last 15 minutes of the tribe discussing him going home I knew he had no business on that island without some access to online mental health help.

Wrong is still wrong just because you benefited from it.

I agree with you except for the inclusion/exclusion part. I'll vote for diversity any day of the week. Diversity is a good thing.

I finally caught up to last week's episode. Jelensky was just an idiot. The "several means seven" nonsense was head-scratching. I'm glad to see him gone.

I don't mind diversity in casting, but a diverse cast should be people who still want to win. Not idiots who just want their five minutes of fame and who will roll over and play dead the minute any adversity hits.

I never said I was against diversity. I said I didn't like when the pendulum swung so far to include others that now others are excluded. I can't help but notice that there are people that exist that are never cast any more. They have a certain check list and it is filled the same every season. It's their show, their prerogative. I just find it bland.

While I don't think several means seven, few does mean three. Doesn't it?
