I am so sorry for short notice-- almost forgot they were coming on! 'The Adventures....' originally ran on PBS.
Sunday 3:00 p.m. Eastern, FETV: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes "A Scandal in Bohemia" Jeremy Brett, David Burke, Rosalie Williams
Sunday 4:00 p.m. Eastern FETV: The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes "The Dancing Men". Jeremy Brett, David Burke, Tenniel Evans, Betsy Brantley
The peerless Jeremy Brett! He is my favorite Holmes, with apologies to all those worthies who came before and after-- Rathbone, Cumberbatch, et al.
But love Jeremy. That sardonic raised eyebrow, the "moods" and melancholy, the brilliance.
Trivia-- As a young actor, Jeremy was the handsome, love-struck beau who unsuccessfully serenaded Eliza Doolittle in "My Fair Lady" with "On the Street Where You Live".
Versatile, many-layered, fabulous Jeremy....
Boy, I hope that FE will be running the whole "Holmes" series in their new Sunday afternoon mystery slot. Will alert future ones if they do.
Later, edited to add: The invaluable @Cakers3 informs me that they will indeed be showing more "Holmes" episodes in next Sunday's time slot. Will alert as it gets closer. Hooray.

I completely agree! Best Sherlock ever! Sorry, Basil....
I wish he did more episodes but he was very sick towards the end.

Love it, discerining @Dragonflyveb -- another diehard member of the Jeremy Britt club!
I knew he was very ill at some point, didn't realize it was while he was doing the series-- how very sad. He left a wonderful legacy of work-- his immense talent met up with the perfect, memorable role for him....

I've never watched this and I wanted to, but I wasn't able to get that station today. It's always giving me trouble-video with no audio, audio with no video or video and audio don't sync up.

Yes, it was so sad. He had heart trouble, plus smoked heavily. And mental health meds gave him fluid retention to boot.
One of his last episodes, he was in a bathtub and I remember how much heavier and puffier he looked.
Poor man. Such a wonderful talent!

I missed this today but there is another one next Sunday (2 PM CST for me).
I agree Jeremy Brett is so good but we enjoyed Benedict Cumberbatch too because the character was different with him.
Enjoy everyone.🕵️

Jeremy Brett was an outstanding Sherlock. My husband and I were huge fans of that series. He was taken much too soon.
The English have no peers in their productions. The best.

@catter70 , that's a bummer. I just checked, and at least some of the episodes ( and maybe all, for all I know) do stream free on youtube!
If interested, just google The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes "A Scandal in Bohemia", and it should pop up.
