Remember also, one of the reason Rosemary drifts in and out of consciousness is because she didn't eat the entire amount of the drugged "mouse" that Minnie brings over.

 

She consumed enough to be impacted, but dumped some of it secretively into a napkin.

 

During her dream/impregnation this is said by the observers:

 

GUY
She s awake~ she sees!


MRS. CASTEVET
She don' t see. As long as she ate
the mouse she can' t see nor hear.
She's like dead. Now sing.
