Roots miniseries on SundanceTV

Tuesday, 2/26 starting at 11:00 am EST.

I hadn't watched it since the original airing in 1977, happened to catch it mid-episode(s) earlier this month when flipping channels, so I'm happy SunTV is showing it again.

Thought some others might be interested.

Roots is usually aired annually on a cable network during the month of February. I guess it depends which network has the broadcast license agreement as to which one airs it.

It is an unforgettable watch.

I saw and recorded it about 2 weeks ago on cable, don't recall the station. One of the best series EVER. I also loved the book.

Just watched Queen for the first time recently on Sundance - much better than I'd hoped!

I think Jasmine Guy was terrific as Queen's mother.

Re: Roots miniseries on SundanceTV

I love the miniseries Queen. I watch it every year. Best love story ever IMHO. While both Danny Glover and Haley Berry are both excellent actors, there had to be chemistry between them. The scene towards the end when he goes to pick her up from the hospital gives me goose bumps. No words were spoken, but the way they looked at each other was so full of love. No matter how many times I watch it I always cry at the end when she talks about "her prince". Beautiful.

That's how acting used to be.

I recently watched Jane Fonda and Robert Redford in Our Souls at Night on Netflix and there are so many scenes with very little dialogue.  But you know what eveyrone is thinking Smiley Very Happy
