Created by writer Norman Lear and sponsored by the organization he founded, People for the American Way, the performance was aired to commemorate the 250th anniversary of George Washington's birthday.

I watched an old Mork and Mindy last week.  Gentle times in our lives...thinking about the decision Williams made later in life as well as the challenges we face today.  Robin was gifted and his life here brief.  Reminds me to appreciate each day.  Love that he commemorated George Washington's birthday.  Thanks for this share @MorningLover

@phoenixbrd He was diagnosed with Lewy Body dementia.  It's a horrible disease that over time just gets worse with no relief in sight.  He decided to end it before it got so bad he wouldn't know who he was.  A very difficult decision but I can understand why he did it.  My brother in law had Lewy Body dementia.
