TV and Movies

I just started watching this show.  My daughter loves it and has been trying to convince me to watch it forever.

I just have trouble thinking of these people as 10th graders....

Does anyone else watch this show?

@Annabellethecat66 If it's the same show that's on CW, I loved the first season, far less so the second season... The first season was fun, sexy, atmospheric, mysterious, with a focus on the high school kids and wasn't so over the top. The second season pulled out a few too many stops, too many rival gangs, the endless 'black hood' nonsense and the focus wasn't on what were for me the 'right' characters... And yes, in the second season those were some fairly 'advanced' high school kids...

I watched it until Mark Consuelos appeared. I imagined Hiram Lodge to be a big, larger than life, powerful character and in walks little Mark who I have read is given these parts for no other reason than Kelly's demands.

Sorry to sound so negative, but it is 2018. Time for Kelly and Mark to make a statement.

@stevieb I always enjoy your descriptions!  I'm still on the first season.

I've said I have a short attention span and I wasn't kidding.  Had to take a break already.

I usually only watch movies where people are shooting at each other.  (Think Keanu Reeves and John Wick).  Some of my favorite movies.

But I'm trying to hang in there for at least the first season.  

When my middle daughter was young she wouldn't read anything but Archie comics.  Drove me crazy because my other 2 girls were very avid readers.

She still (at the age of 43) buys and reads Archie comics.  Every now and then I'd glance at them so I'm familiar with the relationships (kinda follows) and who's who.

I don't know anything about the Archie Comics or characters, really.

I tried to watch it, but it made me uncomfortable for the age group it was targeted for.

@magicmoodz Part of why I wanted to watch was because of Mark Consuelos. LOL

I think he is cute & I love to watch him & Kelly together. They seem to have a fairly "normal" relationship & family. As normal as they can be in the position that they are in.

 How or of whom would Kelly demand that they hire Mark, and what statement do you want them to make.  And, if you don't like her, don't watch Live.  Simple

I don't know how or why Consuelos got the part and while he's aduqate as Hiram, he hasn't really added anything to the mix. Mystery and a bit of mayhem are fine, but the show needs to focus a little less on the mayhem side of things... I'd like to hear a lot less about the Serpents and see a lot less of the more or less has-beens who play most of the adult roles... The adult characters are definitely needed, but they shouldn't be on screen as much as they are... I also don't think the always angst-ridden Jughead needs to be quite as much of a central character as they've made him...
