Remember the Bugs Bunny Theme Song

Not sure why, but I was thinking about the Bugs Bunny theme song today. Lyrics were:

Overture, curtain, lights
This is it, the night of nights
No more rehearsing and nursing a part
We know every part by heart
Overture, curtain, lights
This is it, we'll hit the heights
And oh what heights we'll hit
On with the show this is it.

Tonight what heights we'll hit.
On with the show, this is it.

The cartoons also included some classical music like "Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2", "The Barber of Seville", and several others. I think the music helped create a feeling that we were watching "serious" entertainment for kids and that, as viewers, we kids were important. Do you remember the classical music of the classic cartoons?

I remember that, now that you post the lyrics, @Desert Lily , and remember loving it.  I think you are right about it creating a sort of festive, feeling of importance for kids!

I remember it.  Jerry sings it on one of my very favorite episodes of Seinfeld.

How about  🎶  Here I Come to Save the Day, That Means That Mighty Mouse is on theWay 🎶.   Even after all these years those cartoon songs are fresh in my mind.

@Desert Lily    Not a cartoon, but the classic William Tell Overture is The Lone Ranger's theme song.  🐎

My thoughts go right to Andy Kaufman when I think of that song.  😊
