Remember Cissy on Family Affair sitcom?

[ Edited ]

Kathy Garver...has the same pretty smile and face.... wish I had her pretty teeth!

The 1960s were a big time for family-themed sitcoms, but this one was unconventional. Family Affair followed a wealthy single man (Brian Keith), who took in his late brother's three children and raised them with the help of his English butler (Sebastian Cabot). The eldest child on Family Affair, teenager Cissy, was played by Kathy Garver, who remained on the series throughout its 1966 to 1971 run.

Here she is today at age 76

I loved that show....was sooo very sad about Anissa Jones and her death at such a very young age.

Loved Family Affair!  I've seen Kathy Garver's posts on Facebook and she is still acting in films and commercials.

I'm watching the show now on Decades channel.

Re: Remember Cissy on Family Affair sitcom?

Family Affair was one of my favorite shows growing up.  My favorite was always Anissa Jones (Buffy).  I really liked Kathy Garver too (I liked them all actually).  She was beautiful on the show and she hasn't changed a whole lot and is still beautiful.

I haven't looked at IMDB but I don't recall seeing her in anything else after the show ended.

I loved that show too! I remember Buffy's doll, Mrs. Beasley, I think was her name.  I always thought Cissy was so hip and cool!

She does have a nice smile and nice teeth.

Not sure if you remember me discussing getting veneers. Well I didn't get them but I did get all of my upper front teeth crowned...six altogether. I'm over the moon happy with the way it turned out. It's a dream come true for me for sure.Woman Happy

I just read that Brian Keith commited suicide years ago, he shot himself.  I did not know that.  Apparently he had lung cancer and financial problems.  He did it two months after his daughter also commited suicide.

@SilleeMee  I am so happy for you! Must be nice to like your smile. If I did not have so many issues with my teeth, I would do that....but my teeth get very unhappy when I do work on them....I am afraid to grind on them or subject them to stress....would not end up well.
