They are clearly not appealing to the people who love this movie/story.

Remakes are not for us, they are for the uninitiated.

To me, nobody can play Baby's father but Jerry Orbach.

I felt the same way about Jerry and Beauty and the Beast.  He is Luminiere!

I'll watch, but try not to over expect.  I've seen Abigail Breslin in a few movies, and she's a good actress.

I am not a fan or remakes of movies or music. I thought the remake of Footloose was awful.

A few months ago my GS had me listen to a "new" song, called  Bad Company. LOL

By Five Finger Death March, it was one of the few remakes I liked.

No need to remake Dirty Dancing.
