Right, some things should just be left alone. But it does make me feel like we need some really good writers now.  With every remake this becomes more apparent.  I love good stories.

It's not like it can be updated for new audiences, new gadgets and storylines ala James Bond. Dirty Dancing is very specific, from the setting in the Catskills to outlook towards s@ x. They are not adding anything but rather showcase in its ineptness. I rather see a 20/20 on the dum dum came up with - Lets do a remake? And the dum dum that's says, great idea. Nah, that will be an hour of duh.

If any attempt would have been made, too bad it wasn't some sort of 'continuation' of the original movie when Swayze was alive.  Perhaps maybe a 'reunion' where the story continues and their lives had changed and taken different paths might have been a better choice than a remake of the movie.

I am going to pass on this one, that was like the remake of Beaches, some things should just be left alone!
