Looks from first reports like he had a heart attack and couldn't get out of the jacuzzi ... and drowned. 

He's had a LOT of health challenges in his life.  Wow.

I just went online to catch up on news and read this.  I'm beyond words.  I too read his book.  He survived so much .  

If it's cardiac arrest, I can see him drowning accidently, but if that's the case, it's so tragic.

He was starting to get his life back together and was such a good soul.  Just saw him and his father posing for an Instagram photo together.

This is beyond sad.   I'm just in shock.

TMZ reported Matthew came home sometime in the AM after a 2 hour round of pickleball. He sent his assistant on an errand shortly thereafter. When the assistant returned two hours later Matthew was unresponsive and he appeared to have drowned.

It is unclear if what Matthew was doing prior had anything to do with his passing. While Perry appeared to be clean and sober a year ago, the prior year drew concerns from his fans when they were plugging the Friends reunion. It is so sad that he has passed. Drug and alcohol addiction is hard to fight.

I know of a woman who had died in her hot tub. She had undiagnosed high blood pressure and the heat triggered an incident.

I hope you finally found the peace that had eluded you since your teenage years.
