Quacker Factory on Murder She Wrote

I'm watching an episode of Murder She Wrote from 1994. The episode is called "Wheel of Death" and centers around a carnival that comes to town. There's a character wearing what looks like one of the original QF shirts. It's the white button down style with a balloon print and colorful button covers. Can't say I recall that one, but it sure looks like QF to me.

Not sure since I think Jeanne Bice was discovered during the 50 in 50 tour which took place in 1994 or 95

I remember those early days with all the applique and button covers on ALL the clothing that had buttons.

I remember those shirts with the button covers, too. I also remember Jeanne saying that she sold her clothing in boutiques before being discovered on QVC. I have a QF Halloween sweater that I saw on a Monk episode. It’s black with haunted house and witch appliqués. I wear it every year when handing out our treats.

Perhaps but I think it's because that blinged out stuff was in style in that era.

Re: Quacker Factory on Murder She Wrote

Novelty clothing was very popular back then.  Very.

I don't recall the particular blouse on Angela Lansbury to which the OP is referring. However, I often see her wearing novelty sweaters, and they aren't QF ones but very similar to QF ones.   Those were just the times, and that clothing was in style. Lansbury always dressed very stylishly in that show.

Re: Quacker Factory on Murder She Wrote

Back in the day, when I lived in Huntington Beach, CA and frequented the Orange County Swap Meet, there were several vendors that sold button down shirt/cotton tank sets that were embroidered and embellished with iron-on sparkle.  I had a few sets (which have since made their way to the donation bag).  One was hot air balloons done in a navy stripe on the button down with white tank; another was a pink or lavender stripe with flowers.  Hadn’t thought about these in years but your post reminded me.  Thanks for the trip down memory lane!
