Re: Project runway

[ Edited ]

I didn't like the ruffle dress at all, but it's not the first time I've disagreed with the judges. I thought Brittany's design was the best so I'm glad she won.

I didn't like the designer attitudes toward Anna either. I was very disappointed in Korto's attitude. She's the one who seemed to be most upset, and then other designers jumped on the bandwagon. I'm glad Kara Saun stepped in and told them to stop. The preview for next week showed Korto & Anna talking about it. Maybe there will be an apology?

I generally watch the beginning to hear the challenge and then fast forward to the runway show.

Just watched the last episode as I've been in a time crunch this week.
Does anyone else find it remarkable that it took this many seasons of Project Runway for someone to suggest a challenge in which everyone uses the same fabric?? 🤔 Genius challenge and SO simple.
Christian said it was his idea...I thought it completely leveled the playing field. Many of the designers who aren't good at sewing had to drape the fabric instead.
And no one could hide behind a spectacular fabric from Mood or a piece of material they brought from home.
I wonder why it took 20plus seasons to think of this great challenge??

Glad Brittany won as I felt she deserved it.  As for the drama, I felt bad for Anna - it just wasn't necessary IMO.

If the designers were unhappy with it, they should've taken it up with the judges.  Korto was out of line.

Well, I was not surprised at the elimination last night.  I'm sorry to say that I think Kane is a one trick pony.  I really don't care for any of the remaining designers, I'm more "I hope so and so DOESN'T win".

Christian was cracking me up last night.  It was very similar to his season.

I wasn't so fond of the winner either.  And really--Brittany's look was worse than Kane's, I thought.  But I also wear gym shorts and tank tops all summer LOL.

Christian S. is unwatchable, he really thinks he is cute, doesn't he?  As are most of the designers.  I record and fast forward to the last half hour.  Love the old version produced by disgraced and imprisoned Harvey Weinstein, because the contestants did more designing and creative work and less talking about themselves & am rewatching all the previous episodes on the ROKU channel.  Happy Kane was kicked off.

@MarnieRez3 , it was not a totally new idea.  They have had challenges in the past where one particular fabric had to be used.  In those cases they were allowed to also use some fashion fabric of their choice, but the use of the fabric given to them was what they would be judged on.  Of course, there was always one designer who ignored that advice and would try to make that fabric almost disappear.

LOL about Christian.

He's really been grating on my nerves this season, & I used to really like him.

OK, so I'm no fashionista or expert on design trends of the various decades, but were the 90s really all about plaid?? I remember it as being a more op art kind of thing...lots of colors.

Why did they choose primarily orange and black? Weird.

The judges adored Bishme's outfit, & I thought it was awful!

I actually didn't care for any of the designs, & failed to understand what Nina was so delighted by..

Sorry to sound so negative.

Muddling through...

At this point in the competition, I hate seeing people eliminated because they usually are quite talented and have something to offer that didn't get to shine in that particular challenge.  I was sorry to see Kane eliminated, but agree that his design was the worse.

As the 90's was definitely my time period, I would have gladly rocked any of the four top creations.  Some of my favorite contenders were on the Blue Team and really brought their A game.  I did especially love Laurence's and Bishme's designs and was happy to see Laurence win.

I like Laurence, she is quietly confident and extremely talented.  She's my fave right now. Cat Very Happy
