@elated wrote:I couldn't understand why Alicia Silverstone was wearing that revealing dress. What was she trying to prove. Some of these designers are still awful.
How someone who wears something like that can be a judge of fashion evades me.

They made the right choice sending home the person they did.
That flower, cut in half with a waistband looked like an apron a diner waitress would wear back when waitresses wore uniforms.

As per my usual behavior, I fell asleep during the last 15-20 minutes of the show. I didn't see the runway. I didn't see the judging. I didn't see who was eliminated or who won. I record the show though so I'll check back to see what I missed.
So far, I'm not that thrilled with anyone.

I remember Korto, always crying, and Kane, and about five others.
There hasn't been the drama as the early seasons, so not as entertaining, but Christian makes it watchable.

The designer who was eliminated did not heed Christian's advice. He told her to get out of the silks, stood there, and watched until she left. She then proceeded to choose a fabric very similar to silk in difficulty to seam. I have decided they may be panicked and just don't comprehend what he is saying to help them. The other explanation is they are too stubborn to take advice. This will be my focus this season. How many are eliminated because they fail to heed solid advice?

Most of the time, I'm more about the challenge and the runway and really not particularly interested in what comes in-between. But, at least for the winner, what came in-between was really important when you consider he left that yardage of horsehair at Mood. After the initial shock, he was able to pivot and turn it into something beautiful. Of course, the judges don't know that, or at least that's what they tell us.
A lot of the drama in the workroom is edited to manipulate our opinions of the designers. I know they can't show everything, but I would prefer seeing actual techniques being used rather than the drama. Why not include teaching moments in the workroom?

I love all of the contestants and have tremendous respect for their talent and drive to live their creative dream. Good for them! I'm so glad there's not the typical bickering/cattiness that tends to be at the core of these realtiy shows. While I do not really don't miss the past judges, I hope the panel wil include guest judges who are known for their apparent love of fashion, e.g. Billie Porter, Gigi Hadid, etc.

I love Project Runway! So glad it's back. I have seen every season and episode for regular, all-star, and the teen version. Some seasons are better than others, but I still love seeing what the designers come up with for the different challenges. I'm not as much into the drama between contestants. I did miss Heidi, Tim, and MK for awhile, but having other judges and Christian as a mentor has grown on me. Christian is 37 years old now. Time flies!

LOL about Korto, @mousiegirl.
Please allow me to add Bishme as the resident sadsack. In his prior season I remember thinking of him as Eeyore.
Of course I understand that he sadly recently lost his sister, but regardless, he still wanted to come on the show.
Maybe someone could clue me in as to why this challenge was so 'triggering' to him? He said that multiple times. Perhaps I missed the reason.
One of the designers who surprised me was Anna, who'd left her season because of illness. Talk about a change in persona!
Kayne's design was gorgeous.
I wouldn't consider many of them as being part of an all star cast.

His sister passed away 3 months ago and is still fresh in his mind. He kept thinking about her. I didn't watch every word so could be off a bit about why.
