I’ll be out of town next week and won’t be able to post the thread or even watch the show until the following week. So, if someone wants to post the thread for me, or we can just continue this thread for both show.
Recap of the fashions: https://www.bravotv.com/project-runway/season-18/season-18/blogs/project-runway-season-18-episode-11
Victoria’s dress is too short and doesn’t look well-made.
Sergio’s dress is pretty, but kinda basic looking.
Marquis’s dress is also kinda basic. That top, from a distance, looks like those elastic tops people wear which is very casual. Not sure how to describe it, so forgive me if you don't understand.
Brittany’s dress is pretty. I could do with a little less boobage showing, but I’m conservative.
Geoffrey’s dress is just kinda weird looking. It’s just okay.
Nancy’s dress - That’s the winner for me. I also like that it had a bit of a historic look to it.

@Icegoddess This was a tough challenge I think. Nancy deserved the win because she really put a lot of thought into the dress and how the girl would be able to move in her chair. Very tough for a young lady confined to a wheelchair to be able to find something like that to make her feel special for an evening. Personally I didn't care for the color or fabric or the sleeve/strap treatment on the arms.
I agree w/everything you said re the critiques. Christian kinda annoys me as a mentor though. He hasn't met w/the clients, doesn't know their bodies or what they are comfortable with and he makes suggestions to the designer's which I feel throws them off their game. Quite often they follow his advice and wind up in the bottom. I think Sergio's dress would have looked better w/o those long short sleeves. He didn't want to put sleeves on the dress cause it would make her look broader and I think he was right, but he listened to Christian. I also don't care for the skin tight belly button busting xposure maternity dresses and thought he did a good job on the bottom part of the dress.
I thought Marquises' dress was very junior and basic. The shirt he made for himself was nicer than that dress. Brittany's dress we've seen 100's of times. Don't care for boobage xposure like that either. Veronica's was too short and I'm not wild about the assymetrical hems. I kinda liked Geoffrey's but it was kinda jaded and cheap looking. His model had such a powerful body - wow.

@jellyBEAN, I thought Sergio said he/she wanted sleeves. I'm kinda broad at the top (but without the boobs) and I'm very self-conscious about how I look in strappy type tops. I can do basic sleeveless or wider straps although I generally will still wear a shrug over those too.

Victoria is such a sourpuss and always complaining, I would rather she go home.
I didn't like any of the dresses but they did so that's all that matters.

Well deserved win for Nancy tonight, I thought she did a beautiful job. She listened to what her client wanted and created a perfect look. None of the others did much for me and although Sergio thought his dress perfect I thought it basic and what made it stand out a bit was the color, Wish he would go but he won't.
I said last week Victoria was on my last nerve well she used that up too. When no one went home she acted like a petulant child and stated she wanted someone gone. Me too but it was her I wanted gone. Enjoy next week.

I think these judges must be on drugs. Victoria's dress was terrible. It was too short and the same style. Her attitude is beyond belief. I know she will never go home because the judges love her no matter what she designs.
Brittany's dress was not good. I will never understand why Christian saved her. Sometimes, I think he is very immature. I have seen some of his designs that I think are not good.
I think Sergio is a good designer but his arrogance gets to me. Nancy deserved to win. I think she is one of the better designers but the judges never give her credit. I just can't figure out their aesthetic.
I miss Tim Gunn. I think he was a better mentor. I am not overly impressed with Karlie Kloss.

@elated Agree with your comments regarding Christian.

Okay, so I thought I posted this, but either it didn't go through our it got poofed. Don't know why that would happen since it is just a pic, not a link. But, I'll try again, this is an example of the sort of elastic top I felt Marquis' design looked like on that tiny athlete.

I thought Nancy did such a good job--you could tell she was really invested in the project. She deserved the win. I'm sick of Victoria and her attitude and Sergio and his arrogance. But I did like Sergio's dress. It was very simple, but his client looked beautiful in it. When I was watching, I did make the comment that it looked almost too simple.
I think the petite woman would be hard to design for. I liked the dress, but I actually though it overwhelmed her. But what do I know.

I'm just so over Sergio and Victoria's attitudes. Sergio's holier than thou is way too much for me.
I recall when Victoria was wanting to go home; too bad she didn't.
So happy for Nancy; she deserved that win. I'd like to see either her or Geoffrey take the win, but I won't hold my breath.
