I made my goal - to stay up and watch it through the violin scene and then go to sleep.  Mission accomplished. 

 

I love when Nolte and Streisand walk from Carlin's party past the bookstore and sees Krabbe's books in the window and Streisand says, "He's not my patient, he's my husband."    I also love her white suit with the gold statement necklace she wore - she looked great in that.  I would wear that outfit in a heartbeat.

One of my very favorite movies!...I have seen it several times....Nick Nolte is a wonderful actor who never got the recognition that he so deserves...He has made so many good movies.

 

He and Barbra Streissand had great chemistry and they were wonderful together....Her son was very good also.

 

He was well deserving of an Oscar, but it was up against Silence Of The Lambs which was a sure winner...He did get the Golden Globe.
