This is a movie based on the book by the same name by Jane Austin, a period piece starring Dakota Johnson and Cosmo Jarvis. "When Frederick Wentworth-the one who got away-crashes back into Anne Elliot's life, she must choose between putting the past behind her or listening to her heart when it comes to second chances." This is definitely a chick flick, I liked it and a real departure for Dakota Johnson,  she was quite good.

Austen fans will not recognize it, as it deviates from the book in so many aspects, but I agree it is an enjoyable film in its own right as an original creation, not an adaptation of an Austen novel.

Dakota Johnson was very good in it.  I'm going to watch it again because I dozed off for a bit (no fault of the film) and missed some of it.

@Jordan2 Thank you for the recommendation! I enjoyed this movie. Love the way Dakota Johnson speaks to the audience...reminded me a bit of Fleabag, which I really liked.

Dakota Johnson reminded me of Keira Knightly, did anyone else think that?
