Whaaatttt?  A disheveled drunk?  I think that is going to be a hard sell!  Because I adore the original tv show with Raymond Burr, I doubt that I will love this iteration.  I’ve enjoyed watching PM movies from the ‘30’s with other casts, of course. But, again, drunk and disheveled?  Oy!

Agree with you on the Perry Mason description and how Raymond Burr portrayed PM.

Looks like Erle Stanley Gardner also agreed with the Raymond Burr choice.

I also enjoy some of the vintage Perry Mason movies with Warren William as

Perry Mason..He portrayed PM in a different and decidedly rakish manner and was thoroughly enjoyable.

@artisto,  I think I've caught one or two of those with Warren William, and agreed, they were fun!
