I had not heard that he was ill and had passed away.  He was a really good actor and I enjoyed watching him in many things.  So sad.  Thank you for posting this.

Yup.  Funny how Michael spoke in alliterations!  Many of his scenes with Bob were priceless.

 

I agree Peter was great in every role he played.  Nice that he and Tom Hanks remained good friends.

Wow,  very sad for Peter and family. RIP.  Loved Peter in Newhart.   i worked with his brother around that time, mid-late 80s ;  their high school buddy worked with us too. we had a blast working together. Peter and his brother were a year apart in age. They looked so much alike it was eerie:  same height, facial features and their mannerisms were almost identical.
