Re: PBS The Green Planet Tropical Rainforests

I try to catch all these shows when Attenborough is narrating.

What really surprised me was the segment about the underground fungus telling the ants what kind of leaves to bring it!

I knew there were a lot of symbiotic relationships in nature, but not to this extent!  Wow!  Woman Surprised

Off Topic

Whenever I see a rainforest program, it brings back memories of the time in 1968 when I was attacked by fire ants while hiking at night through the Amazon jungle. Stupidly I was wearing sandals. I still have scars on the top of my feet.

Since then, whenever a doctor is examining my feet, he or she will ask how I got the scars. I tell them, and the response always is "Seriously, how did you get the scars?"

(Doctors sometimes have trouble accepting unusual answers.)

Re: PBS The Green Planet Tropical Rainforests

I've seen first 2 episodes now. An awesome show. Excellent innovative photography; excellent storytelling. We are curious about the sound, is it real?- the speed matches the video. Amazing. Attenborough is a gem. I also like the profile on photographers at end.
