Seems an unusual choice for a Masterpiece remake. I'll watch and hope to be pleasantly surprised.

I watched it for 30 minutes and couldn't watch anymore.  It wasn't horrible but these remakes bore me as I know how the story ends.  

 

I remember seeing the original film with David Niven and Cantinflas.

I'm not interested In it nor most of the upcoming PBS shows. The new decision makers have gotten away from what PBS once was, and not for the better.

I've never seen any version of it. I recorded and tried to watch it, but for me, it was so boring! I deleted it and future recordings.
