I have my DVR set for The Young Philadelphian's.  One of my favorite movies.

My fave is "On the Terrace", with Paul Newman, Joanna Woodward, Myrna Loy and Leon Ames.

I can't be the only person who watched Paul in his movie debut "The Silver Chalice."

In  "The  Young Philadelphians" one line stands out from Barbara Rush:
"I'm a chili girl myself". Loved Alexis Smith in the movie as well! Not to forget the beautiful clothes that Barbara Rush wore!

Rush was a good actress, remember her in Magnificent Obsession and one of my faves, as wife of Kirk Douglas in Strangers When We Meet, also with the lovely, Kim Novak.

Newman was wonderful with the lovely Ina Balin in From the Terrace.

He finally won his first Oscar at age 61 in Color of Money with Tom Cruise when he reprised his role as Fast Eddie Felsen in Color of Money, first he had the role in 1961, The Hustler. 

I also loved him as the cool PI in Harper.

Recognize an older Billie Burke in Young Philadelphians as Good Witch Glinda from Wiz of Oz.

Never forgot how handsome he was but did forget that VOICE and how he turns a phrase.

TCM is showing his movies on Wednesdays this month. They said they'd focus on his earlier movies.

Can't forget what a wonderful person he was. Said he enjoyed giving money away more than making it.
