Like most  shows starts out good , then, they add on characters that I

didn't  like. That guy that played the son of the guy who owned the estate that was  always  getting in trouble,'David', think his name  was. I wanted to stick my foot up his so bad. 'Carolyn' and  David Selby . That ugly Dr. made me wonder how she ever made it in the movies. Joan Bennett was good.

I've bought a few box sets of that show when Walmart brings them in around Halloween.  Angelique, was my favorite even though that horrible laugh was crazy. LOL

Ha ha, that IS a good picture, @SharkE!  No, I never did but I have friends who did.  I'm remembering for some reason the name "Jonathan Frid".  Was he an actor in it, or a character in it?

You jogged my memory about Joan Bennett. I love her.  It's so interesting that many of both old guard Hollywood, plus other journeyman actors, theater types, et show up in the TV series of the Sixties.  I've been noticing that in my "Cannon" DVD's.  Barry Sullivan, Anne Baxter, Anne Francis, Beverly Garland, Dina Merrill, Geraldine Brooks, Vera Miles, Barry Nelson, Fritz Weaver, etc.  Fun.

@Oznell Jonathan Frid  played the character Barnabas Collins. He is the man in the picture and also Dracula. I watched that show every day after school.

she must be young, to young to remember that 'far' back LOL I'm a old dog

LOL (although don't look it, let me add that )ROFL came on at3 or 4 and we all never missed it.

Vincent Price, is my favorite. He was bit of a ham, but, I loved everything he did. Price wasn't in Dark Shadows, but, just thought I'd bring him up since we're in the horror genre.

I'm plenty old enough to remember it, @SharkE-- I'm a Boomer too! (And I can verify that you do look terrific-- wasn't there a picture of you here a while back?)   Not sure why the show didn't draw me in.  Vampire stuff has never appealed to me....

Raced home from school everyday to watch. I would get on the phone and watch with my best friend. Thought and believed it all was true and real. Now I will see the reruns and it all looks so fake.

yeah, I posted  once over in Fashion. I'd love to post pics, but, after watching Dr. Phil one day they are taking pics from just any sites and using them to pose as themselves to get money from widows/widowers.

I don't want to get a call from Dr Phil LOL

Guess I could do a headless one LOL

some old widower might want a fellow oldy and I sure don't need another man in my life. No thanky !

I got quite a few vampire flicks from Jack Palance to Tom Cruise.

Man, that should play a vampire is Gene Simmons ! Man , he fits the bill !
