Will Glenn Close ever win an Oscar?

She deserved one long time ago.  Hope she wins this year.

@gertrudecloset

She didn't.

And, no, I'm not watching.  Just occasionally checking Oscars.org.  Predictable, so far.

That's too bad.  I'm not watching either because I forgot about it.  I might have tuned in for a while.  I typically don't because they don't add music.  I live music with award shows @just bee .

Yay! my fav won best actor ! as he should have.

I watch mainly for the jewelry LOL Seen some drop dead diamond necklaces and a few bracelets. As usual the chicks with the low cut dresses never had on any jewelry except earrings.

Break up all that barren chest and shoulder space with some bling, girls !

Half the movies I never recognized. Not like the good ol' days.

Talk about a boring show.  I understand that they have to social distance, etc. but there could have been some entertainment.  They did not sing each of the songs nominated.  I think her name is Frances that won best actress.  I am sure she deserved the award but that lady is a little strange.  She did some kind of coyote call when her movie won best picture.  And, she won best actress her speech was a one liner.

@Shelbelle   With COVID a lot of theatres are still closed.  I know the large cinema by where I live is still closed.  I am going to start looking for some of the movies on Comcast which I will have to pay for.

Hands off of Matt Damon, he can escort me backstage and anywhere I need him to @deepwaterdotter .

Let's see I'll let these men fight over me:

Denzel Washington

Al Pacino

Matt Damon

Hugh Jackman

Vincent D'Nafrio

Idris Elba

Daniel Kuluuya

Shemar Moore

Enjoy yourself ~ don't worry about me.  I'll be out late!

I generally don’t watch the award shows and this year isn’t any different but to say that there aren’t any worthy movies this year because they weren’t in theaters is to be pretty much clueless and close-minded. Streaming isn’t a fad.

With a record of 0-8 Glenn Close is now officially tied with Peter O'Toole for the most acting nominations with no win.

There's still a chance.  Jessica Tandy won at the age of nearly 82 and Kate Hepburn won her last at age 74.

@Johnnyeager Such a shame, not to take anything away from the woman who did win, but Glenn should have won years ago!
