Re: Ordinary Joe

[ Edited ]

So, nbc reran the pliot last night, Friday, and i was able to get more out of it this time. And the color coding  background on the different scenes does seem to help. Red is for the rock star, blue for the cop and green for the nurse.

It's ok-a bit all over the place but so far it will get another chance.

I am not feeling this show. The first episode was ok but the second one not so much. It is hard to follow when it keeps jumping back and forth. I like James Wolk but that is about it.

I just gave it another shot, saw last nights show, watched it online on my computer screen, it was easier to follow up so close. Just have to remember all the characters are in all 3 plots. I am going to keep watching. And James Wolk is so darn cute !!!

FYI, the boy on the show is 12 years old and is disabled in real life, suffers from a form of Muscular Dystrophy, he is doing a great job.

I'm going to run it up the flagpole. PBS has been a disappointment of late, Jeopardy has become a circus full of clowns, and between Housewives and Bachelors that are cringy there's not much to watch.

@occasionalrain  Agree with your assessment of current sad, depleted television offerings. So, what was your take on this show? I didn't run it up the flagpole, as it sounded like yet another gimmicky show to me but am curious what you thought. I gave This is Angst half a season before I just couldn't stand it anymore, so if there are significant similarities I'll pass.

The concept is quite interesting, but I agree with others who find that there is too much jumping back and forth...much too quickly... between the three storylines...I feel that, if they spent a little longer on each storyline, it would be much more fluid and easier to follow...At the current pace, the storylines are just running into each other above the speed limit...lol...Slow it down.
