One of my favorite movies: Battle Cry

I love this movie; I've read the book and watched the movie over and over again. It's king of cheesy (it was a great recruiting tool for the Marines) but it's GOOD cheese,

My favorite story line is that of Andy Hookans (played by ALDO RAY!!) and Pat Rogers. Aldo Ray (sp?) is so good in that role and he made some of the silly lines that Andy had to say, seem fairly believeable.

And the book is even better than the movie it was made into, especially when it describes Andy's feelings about the farm in New Zeland.

Also...there was a charachter named L.Q Jones, in both the book and the movie. The actor who played him liked the name so much that he adopted the screen name L. Q. Jones as his own. As of a few years ago he was still around (he was in the first Zorro movie) but I don't know if he is now.

Ah yes, remember reading the book several times and seeing the movie.  Well done.

If my dog doesn't like you, neither do I.
