Re: Old TV show we loved. I know it's been done

I watch reruns .  I don't like what is being produced today. I like a well written plot with good clean fun and language.  If I want violence, hate, deception, etc I can watch the news which I no longer pay attention to.

Favorites  - Monk, Andy Griffith, Murder She Wrote, Numbers.

Re: Old TV show we loved. I know it's been done

I'm not sure I have a lot of old shows I loved besides the ones everyone has listed.  I have really enjoyed discovering old shows that are new to me. Westerns have really interested me. I came across an episode of Rawhide by accident and I couldn't get over how I knew nothing about what a 'drover' was. Then of course I fell in love with Wagon Train with Ward Bond, Have Gun Will Travel...etc etc.

Many of you menetioned I Love Lucy.  I watched it a few times, but absolutely could not tolerate Lucy. She was self serving, no concern for whether she got her husband fired, no concern for Little Ricky's future.  All she wanted was "to be in the show".  No matter who got hurt or embarrassed.  I hated he rcharacter and just couldn't watch the show without throwing something thru the screen at her.  Just MHO.

@lovesallanimals  Mrs Bucket, pronounced Bookay!, as far as she was concerned Smiley Happy was Keeping Up Appearances w/Patricia Routledge.  Love her.  Also liked Last of the Summer Wine and As Time Goes By w/Dame Judi Dench, all from British TV.

I grew up watching the Brady Bunch,  Eight is Enough, Three's Company & Little House on the Prairie.  My favorite old show that I recently watched every episode of Father Knows Best. Such a great classic show!

Re: Old TV show we loved. I know it's been done

Does anyone remember Petticoat Junction, The Real McCoys, and Fury ( about a horse)?  How About Tarzan starring Ron Ely?  I barely remember them from my early childhood.  Enjoyed them, though.
