Perry Como, Andy Williams and Bob Hope entertaining the troops. I remember watching these specials every year with my family. Nice memories.
Anyone else remember?

@twinsister. They don't make them like that any longer.

I don't remember watching it but I was scrollng thru Tik Tok the other night and came across The Osmond's Christmas Special and they were ice skating.

We used to watch them all; Perry Como, Bob Hope, Andy Williams, The Osmonds, Bing Crosby, etc. Mr. Magoo, too. LOL

My favorite "modern" show is Andre Rieu. We just went to see his Christmas show movie this past weekend.
We love his Christmas specials, with all the glorious music and singing.
We have seen him in person a few times--just FANTASTIC.
You can find his shows online on Youtube.
Of course, I always loved Rudolph the best on the television!

Yes, loved them. Have a Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin with family on tape.
Andy Williams and Perry Como were great.
Bing Crosby went to our church and you'd see / hear him during hymns.

Love the ones you mention, @twinsister . I didn't see it at the time, but now I try to watch every year the Judy Garland Christmas special with Liza, Lorna, Joey, and Jack Jones, that is online. So nostalgic!
A highlight for me every year is Linus' Christmas speech on that bare school auditorium stage in "A Charlie Brown Christmas". "That's what Christmas is all about, Charlie Brown".....

I definitely remember watching the Christmas Specials. The Andy Williams specials were my favorite. Many years ago he was doing a Christmas show in my town and my husband surprised me with tickets to his show.
Unfortunately the weather turned terrible on that night and the turn-out wasn't all that great. The first thing Andy said when he came on stage was I want to thank everyone here who ventured the snow and icy roads to come here. I appreciate it more than you could know.
He put on such a wonderful show and it was the highlight of that Christmas season for me.

I remember the King Family Christmas specials with guest stars.

Oh my, I was sitting there watching those too. I got to see the original show when David Bowie sang with Bing Crosby on Bing's Christmas show. Amazing to see that! Always enjoyed the Christmas shows.
