Oh, ha, ha, that's right, @candys mine -- it hasn't shown on METV yet! Shows how goofed up I get over Christmas vacation-- lose total track of what day is what, good grief.
After your comments, I had to make a point of watching on youtube. This was a refreshing change-of-pace episode.
Edited to add: Warning-- spoilers below!
Things I liked-- that John was able to peg the little boy as Australian right away, with his cute little accent...
Mrs. (Grandma) Tracy, when she was cooking up a storm for the boys, had a tiny Corning ware casserole she was working with...
Someone, I think it was Jeff, talking to his sons, addressed them as "you lot", which of course is a slangy British-ism. I'm surprised that the actor who played Jeff (who was Canadian, I think-- Dyneley?), didn't tell the writer that any self-respecting American would say, informally, "you guys", not "you lot"!
Bad guy "The Hood" is so sinister. If his jeep had that explosion, wonder how did Scott retrieve the photographs-- wouldn't they have been burned up or damaged? By the way, thought that the mask the Hood wore to fool the little boys looked a little like Burt Reynolds in his heyday....
Scott is probably my favorite-- he's so decisive, yet game enough for a little foolishness when it's called for...
Hope you have a terrific New Year's and 2023 also, @candys mine !
