7th Heaven is interesting setting I grew up in the late 40's - 60's and there was a time that men acted like that, but women liberation changed all that now only a small portion of men have that demeanor.

I never understood women liberation accept for equal pay when doing the same job all the rest of what they did just undermine everything

There is nothing before Women lib that I could not do so what did they accomplish?

It is a fact we are built different and trying to do what men were design to do is ridiculous.

and I was a tom boy but thank God I grew out of it.

I always liked the Topper series there are a lot of laughs and humor etc.

Accept for Topper I never seen either of the other two movies before...

I agree with all you said. I don't recall 'Seventh Heaven' but will check it out. I once gave my grown daughter a book called, 'the flame and the flower'. I guess it was one of the first romance novels. Wonderful book (at its prime). When she finished it she looked at me and said, 'are there really men like that?' I don't remember my reply, but I should have said, 'yes, look long and hard, you'll find one.'

Seventh Heaven reminds me a little of It Happen One Night with Clark Gabel, Claudette Colbert https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aASIcbo3u6E

I think the closet today in those kinds of movies was You Got Mail & Sleepless in Seattle Sadly today actors like Tom Hanks did not have those core values in their life, like so many now days they are vacuous there is nothing there of substance...

Yet it is so confusing to the mind when they act as though they understand the things they say and than in the next breath another personality emergences and many times even mock their own perform act.

Many of us can discern when an actor plays a part of a bad or wick ed. person that it is not real the nature of the performer they assume he is play acting, but when they play the part of good or decent being and turns out they have contempt for good, it does something to the mind when it is shown they know the difference and chose to scorned and ridicule wholesomeness, decency.

One feels like they have been kicked in the gut, or been had by these strangers among us...

Yeah, you're right. I read somewhere that the closest thing we have to Jimmy Stewart is Harrison Ford. Maybe. But when you think of it, he was one of a kind so how can we have anyone close?
