OCTOBER SCARE-FEST FOR @SHARKE

Boy, TCM is messing around with me, @SharkE!   It looks like their horror schedule in October is essentially on two nites every week--  Thursday and Friday.

Every Thursday in prime time is classic horror, so:

Here's next Thursday's (October 17) line-up:

http://www.tcm.com/schedule/index.html?tz=est&sdate=2019-10-17

Here's the schedule for the following Thursday, Oct. 24:

http://www.tcm.com/schedule/index.html?tz=est&sdate=2019-10-24

And here's an article about the horror flicks they're showing all month:

And every Friday in prime time is classic monster movie, Godzilla, etc. :

Then, on October 31,  it's all horror, all day, all the time:

But they don't seem to have it all in one convenient at-a-glance schedule (unless I just can't find it) so I'm giving you those individual links above.

Sorry it's all broken up like this!   Happy, spooky watching!

You too, @spiderw--  this is up your alley too!

Thanks , for the schedule. My favorite is the 1963 " The Haunting ". I saw it as a teenager  . The movie still gives me a scare . This one is a classic .

Is the '63' Haunting the one with that gal can't think of her name she died young of ovarian cancer or was that the gal in Who's afraid of Virgina Woolfe?   Julie Harris? was that her name? They did so many remakes

Thanks Oznell ! My interests are movies and English History hahahahaha

one of the Hauntings was done with Catherine Zeta Jones/Douglas

Re: OCTOBER SCARE-FEST FOR @SHARKE

Thanks Oznell!!!!

I just finished watching Night of Dark Shadows, the movie based on the Dark Shadows series which I loved!  I have The Devil's Own, watched It Came from Outer Space and The Thing (original, the best) and am making room on my DVR for the horrors and si fi's coming up!  My favorite are the Ghost stories, Uninvited, Haunting and others.  I love all the Hammer movies, the Universal greats and too many to mention.

Yes, this time is the best for me and my sister who watched all these movies  as we were growing up and still enjoy to this day!  MeTV has been showing the old Thriller series introduced by Boris Karloff which we watched when it first showed on TV along with TwiLight Zone, One Step Beyond, Invaders, Night Gallery, Hitchcock series and of course the Godzillas and Rodan movies which were fun!

I watch these movies all year but love them at the Halloween season with the leaves falling, winds blowing and chill in the air!  I have so many in DVD's so I am set!

Happy Haunting, Sharke and thanks for the updated schedule, Oznell !!!!!!  I love all the settings in these movies, I think it is where I found my taste and style in home furnishings and decor!!!!!!!

@spiderw

2202538QHDxjs6r.jpg   here's a cutie for you.   Be sure to watch 'The Changeling' with George C. Scott and his then wife.   One of the best 'intelligent' ghost movies ever made.

The Others, I'm sure you've seen.   That Bruce Willis movie gave me a start.

Can't think of the name of it either.  NIcole Kidman movie ? that was good, too. I've seen so many I can't think of their names.

Bought John Wick 3 today ! LOL Not a horror show hahhahah I love that character.

Re: OCTOBER SCARE-FEST FOR @SHARKE

Sharke!

The changeling along with the Haunting are two movies I won't watch at night when alone!  Both are frightening no matter how many times we see them.  The Nicole Kidman movie you mentioned is the Others,  the acting was excellent and what a story!!!  The Sixth Sense is the Bruce Willis movie and that rates with the Others, two terrific story lines.

You are right about seeing so many scary movies, we forget their names!  I understand about the intelligent story lines, they are so effective.  However, I love all movies except for slasher and gore movies which can't compare to The Haunting and those type films.

I have heard of John Wick as an action character, enjoy the movies.  It is all about taste and what we enjoy, brings out our emotions and makes us feel good.  By the way I love the picture you included , LOL!!!!!
