So it seems after watching the O.J. Simpson miniseries on FX, I can't get enough of O.J.'s story! There is a documentary on his life Saturday at 9:00 on ABC. There are then 4 more parts on ESPN. I'll watch the first 2 hours and see how it goes.

You enjoy it...... The 'story" is rather cut and dry & I had my fill a decade plus ago.

Thanks for sharing that @Jordan2. I'll set the DVR if I'm not able to watch.

I've got this set to record, too. If I don't like the first episode, I won't continue watching.

On Wednesday, my radio station had the director on for an interview.
It's a story behind the story....a majority of info before the murders.
Forget how influential OJ was while in his prime.
And the community he distanced himself from was the same community who supported him, even to this day.
Weird dichotomy.

I just read a review of this in Newsday, my local newspaper. Verne Gay gave it an A and said it was excellent!

Oooohhhh - very bad pun! R.I.P. Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson.

To me the FX series was entertaining, but a let down in some ways because there were so many "fact check" articles afterwards to tell what really happened. I hope the ABC and ESPN documentaries are historically accurate.

@wildcat fan From what I have read about it, it's really looking at O.J., what happened, and why the trial went the way it did from it's historical perspective. Examining the conduct of the L.A. police toward black people (ie.g. Rodney King) as one example. The rise of good-looking, personable, non-racially-confrontational O.J. as a popular figure. That kind of thing. I think much of its praise is coming from its historical accuracy as a documentary and not something made especially for entertainment value. I think it will b good. I've had ESPN for years but only recently downgraded my cable package so that now I don't get it. I've never -ever - watched ESPN before. Had I known a couple of weeks ago when I downgraded my cable that this series was going to be on ESPN, I would have waited just a few more weeks because, as I say, I've had that station for many years. Darn the timing!
