I saw it and read the book.  Interesting topic but boring movie.

I read the book and saw the movie and found both well done.  I remember in the mid 1950s my Dad explaining this to me, as all our watches had radium dials.

I, too, read the book and saw the film and was disgusted by it.  The corporate greed over the safety and lives of these innocent girls was beyond disgraceful.  Those girls needed money so they kept going to work even once they realized the job was killing them.  When some finally spoke up, the high-powered corporate attorneys had them beat every time.  Shame on them.  How would they feel if it had been their daughters???
