There were several story lines left open for the characters at the end of season 2....drug addiction, teen pregancy, rape recovery, se*ual violence.  Oh and a mass shooting was averted at the end of season 2 so there will be no "shock value" in it, however the subject will be looked at.

Someday, when scientists discover the center of the Universe....some people will be disappointed it is not them.
