A high-powered CEO puts her career and family on the line when she begins an affair with a much younger intern.
Starring Nicole Kidman & Antonio Banderas
Pros:
#1 - Antonio Banderas
#2 - The scene where George Michael is singing Father Figure in the background while the boy toy is dancing in all his sensual sexy sweat glory while sex flushed face Kidman watches. Matter of fact, that was the best part of the movie as well as finding out.....
Con:
Nicole Kidman - Her erotic acting was like watching paint dry on the Great Wall Of China. Just horrible!! I actually was in the middle of telling my DOT to switch to another movie when I heard Pro #2
Except for Pros #1 & #2 above I was.......
throughout the rest of the movie.

I would never waste my time watching that movie.

Wow - @Mz iMac ! That explains why the early Oscar buzz about Nicole fizzled and she wasn't even nominated.
I wanted to see it, but I was afraid it would be similar to her Eyes Wide Shut role. Maybe after what you said I won't be in a hurry!

I like Nicole Kidman, but from what I've heard thus far, have wondered why she picked a role like this...I know she loves "weird" and to stretch herself in all kinds of directions artistically...but this just seems gratutitous...though I haven't seen it...just from things I've heard. I was curious.
So last week I saw headlines "Nicole Kidman says she was exhausted by having to orgasim so much in her latest movie" ok.
And then I saw her on the red carpet and a reporter asked her "Has Keith seen your new movie yet?"...Nicole couldn't get away from that woman fast enough...trying to be "light" about it..."Oh, no, we just flew back from the Australia after the holidays, flew straight into Nashville to celebrate New Years" blah blah blah...moved it right along and ended it with that reporter.
Translate: Keith is not interested in seeing his wife "exhausted from orgasming" even if for "her work."
But she didn't want to share that (fair enough) or seem negative about the movie from her hubby.
@Mz iMac So, too weird and boring to even bother? I'll tell you one deterent...it came up as I was searching Prime for something yesterday...$20 just to rent it? Nah.

Netflix lost my business. The content isn't my cup of tea not worth my money few series ending. YouTube now my go to for many reasons, lifestyle influences, classics films and so much more. Pay 13.00 month, no advertising includes YouTube music two channels worthwhile. YT offers free three month trial. I love no ads!

@beach-mom Most of the movie critics mentions the movie "Eyes Wide Shut" when comparing "Babygirl." What they all seemed to forget is that Kidmen was 20+ years YOUNGER.
Also, Babygirl is more of a BDSM type of erotic movie.
Babygirl is on Netflex not Prime.
The movie is weird because it seemed to me Kidmen was not really into BDSM "acting" if that what it was suppose to be. She probably didn't do any BDSM research.
The overall reviews (which I read afterwards) were not so good.

@Mz iMac Doesn't come up in my Netflix. It does come up to purchase or rent in my Prime account, only.
Seems like it's weird and a weird choice for her.
Sounds like Fifty Shades of Gray
Eyes Wide Shut was weird and boring too, to me.
But...all that said, she's a heck of an actress. I don't always like her choice of parts or movies, others I love.
That "Nine Perfect Strangers" on Hulu a few years ago was weird too.
I did love her portrayal of Lucy in "Being The Ricardos", on Hulu, watched that a few times.
I think for my Nicole fix, I'm going to dig back into the archives and watch "Far & Away" again.

@amyb - When DH and I saw Eyes Wide Shut we had no idea what it was about, only that Nicole and Tom were in it.
We saw it in a crowded multiplex where they checked tickets at the entrance to each theater.
About 20 minutes before the end the projector malfunctioned. After waiting a while for them to fix it, they finally let us leave and gave us vouchers to return again. We never went back to see the end of the movie. VERY unusual for me!

@Mz iMac - I love Nicole and I can't wait to see her in this movie. I also can't wait to see the scene you described with George Michael singing in the background.
ETA - Just saw the previews and that scene and it looks like a pretty hot movie.
